Dr. Diana Lavareda
Overview
Dr. Diana graduated from the University of Évora in 2014, completing clinical rotations at North Shore Veterinary Hospital in Sydney and Montenegro Veterinary Hospital in Porto. Over the years, she has cultivated a strong interest in internal medicine, neurology, and particularly oncology. To deepen her expertise, she pursued advanced training including postgraduate certifications in Internal Medicine (ESAVS, 2021) and Oncology (Improve Veterinary Education, 2022–2023). From 2018 to 2023, she led the Oncology Department at Allvetcare Veterinary Hospital, gaining extensive experience in cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient-centered care. Her dedication to this field reflects her commitment to advancing veterinary oncology and improving quality of life for her patients.
Outside of her professional role, Dr. Diana enjoys a fulfilling family life with her two young children. She finds balance through reading, cooking, and beach walks, and shares her home with two beloved pets – Cashew, an Arabian Mau cat, and Sonic, a lively Pomeranian. Her passion for animals, science, and family life continues to inspire her both in and out of the clinic.
