Here at Pet First, we perform almost all diagnostic tests including blood, urine, fecal and diagnostic imaging. As
pets are prone to hide illnesses, regular testing gives you peace of mind that your pet is healthy and free from any
underlying issues. Our aim is to provide a fast and reliable test results for us to come up with a quick diagnosis and
to provide an early treatment plan thereafter. Our well-equipped in-house laboratory is key to helping us achieving
this goal.

Does my pet still need regular testing if they are not showing any symptoms?
Yes, we strongly recommend annual bloodwork, fecal & urine testing even if they have no symptoms. These tests
can pick up developing health issues before they become more serious allowing for easier, quicker, and often less
expensive treatment.
Does my pet need to undergo anesthesia during a diagnostic test?
If your pet is extremely fearful or anxious, we may provide them with anti-anxiety medication or a light sedative to
help them relax during the procedure. Anesthesia is usually only required for certain x-rays.
Do dogs and cats get the same kind of tests?
For the most part, yes! Dogs and cats get similar types of tests; however, some tests may look for different issues
(such as dog- or cat-specific diseases).
